All Quiet on the Dorset front....
I have been very busy lately and very bad at keeping this blog updated... I do apologise. But I have a house move in the next month and all sorts of things going on. So, if you can be patient and I promise more regular updates once the dust has settled.

Bridport Yarn
When I'm not sewing I do like to indulge in a bit of knitting or crochet and now I live in Bridport I have found what can only be described as heaven.
Bridport Yarn It is the friendliest place and the Yarn is sumptuous I could spend days in this shop it has a wonderful atmosphere and the owner, Rosie is so helpful and friendly.
There is so much yummy yarn, great patterns, lots of advice and they do regular workshops for Knitting and Crochet.
On Tuesday nights from 5pm till 8pm, you can find us all in The Woodman pub for the fun that is " knit night".
Although do be warned , I quite often come home with no voice left from all the laughing that goes on !!
You don't have to be experienced , and if you have any questions there is always someone that can help, and you won't find a a friendlier group of people.
So if you are within 50 miles of Dorset, take a detour to Bridport to visit Yarn, and Bridport is nice too.
Or find them on Facebook:

WELCOME TO 2013
Well hello 2013, and like dozens of other bloggers, one of my new years resolutions is to blog more often!! lets see how we do, shall we!!
We had a lot of snow falling from the skies this past week, but nothing sticking ,so I have no snowy pictures, we seem to be the only place in Dorset that isn't snowy. but last week we had some glorious cold and sunny days. So I'll show you how lucky I am , and where I take my daily walk.

Merry Solstice
I have been very neglectful of my BLOG. no updates since my move, I'm just a bad girl and I'm sure Santa will not be pleased.
Life has changed soo much and I'm very happy that we moved. My only sadness has been November, one year since I lost my father, it was much harder than I expected it to be, but after a little bit of hibernation, I'm back into the world.
So Happy seasons greeting and here's some pretty pictures. AND I promise to do better next year. .
I can be found here making quick updates

Moving on
It's a bit quiet on the blog at the moment,as I'm packing up and moving house!!! We've lived here, in the Dorset countryside for nearly 6 yrs and although it can be lovely, we miss the sea, and the bustle of people . It can be very lonely surrounded by sheep and goats all day when you work alone and from home.
We are staying in Dorset, but moving west to the Bridport area. very excited, very sick of packing, but full of ideas and inspiration for my work.Time to move on :)
Have a peek and you'll see why I'm soo excited:

Father's Day
My father passed away last year, so this father's day is a hard one, followed by his Birthday. At the beginning of the year I started making a quilt with his shirts and ties, he was always smartly dressed. and now........I finished it.
This one is for my mum, but I'm sure she won't mind you having a peek.
It is all hand sewn and I really enjoyed making it, now to start on one for myself
