Books that inspire..............

I bought this when it first came out but it only came to the top of the 'to read' pile at Christmas. It is marvelous, I'm loving it and trying not to read it too quickly as it will be over too quickly, LOVE IT!!!! Jane Brocket is a true inspiration. I worked for 16 yrs as a professional costume maker, but recently with illness and having to do the 9 to 5 , I've lost my 'Creative mojo' I knew I NEED to sew/knit/paint, but wasn't sure what direction to go in, Jane Brocket had the answer.............. do what pleases you!!! Simple but so true.
I've always done the 'domestic' creative things, but never thought of them as the main thing. now I'm buzzing with so many ideas, and I'm teaching myself to crochet, because of this ladies ripple blanket. and she has such a love of colour, the book is packed with wonderful photos.
My husband does the cooking in our place, I will do the odd meal and love baking, but I can't get to grips with the day to day cooking stuff, but I do so love to read a good cook book, not the practical looking ones, but the ones with the pretty pictures, there is definitely a pattern forming here.............Pretty pictures............. I have actually tried some of these recipe's and they are great.
